If you’re looking for worker accommodation for your farm or you want to branch into agritourism, you might be wondering how comfortable our Aruva units are.

How comfortable is an Aruva unit?

We often get questions from potential customers asking us how comfortable Aruva units are.

That’s a really good question and one we’re happy to expand on because we see that there’s a misconception out there about these smaller accommodation units in comparison to larger homes.

Many people think that there’s going to be a significant compromise on comfort and quality when it comes to Aruva accommodation units.

But that’s simply not the case.

Aruva’s are actually supremely comfortable and are just as easy to live in as a regular home that’s been built from scratch on-site. That’s because our units are designed for real living.

Our aim is to ensure that your workers can get a great night’s sleep so that they can put in a good day’s work. As a bonus, this can help to reduce worker fatigue and save your farm from ruin.

But why should you care about how comfortable your worker accommodation is?

The answer is simple – if you provide your workers with superior accommodation, you’ll go a long way toward attracting only the best ones and they’ll be willing to stay for the long term because they can see that you care about their welfare. While this isn’t the only thing that’ll attract quality workers, it’s a key ingredient.

On the flip side, if you plan to use an accommodation unit in your agritourism business, having superior accommodation will pay dividends big time. On the one hand, your visitors will want to come back AND they’ll recommend your business to their family and friends.

Plus you’ll probably get free social media coverage because many people who travel around the country belong to a range of different social media pages and groups. And if they rave about your accommodation, you’ll be fully booked forever.

What makes Aruva units so comfortable?

Quite simply it’s the way that they’re built and the thoughtful inclusions that we like to add into every unit that we build.

Perfectly controlled inside temperatures for summer and winter.

All our units have optimum insulation in the floor, walls and ceiling. This provides year-round comfort, no matter what the temperature is outside. And we like to build on this comfort by installing reverse cycle air conditioning units that are accurately sized to the space they need to heat and cool.

And for even more comfort, our units have ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom/s and a heat-fan-light combination unit in the bathroom – just like a regular home.

No skimping on internal space and cabinetry.

Our units have normal ceiling heights and spacious rooms. After all, they’re designed for full-size humans! The internal doors are a regular size and the cabinetry that we include is just like what you find in a normal home.

You’ll also be surprised to learn that we include a fully functional kitchen with normal height and correct-sized benches and ample cupboards that will store everything your workers are going to need to prepare healthy home-cooked meals.

Even the bathrooms are a regular size with full-size showers where there’s enough room so that elbows and arms can be extended without hitting walls or shower screens.

Regular plumbing and electrical fittings.

Each unit has its own internal circuit board and there are enough power points in every room for whatever your workers want to plug in. There’s also a TV point and cable in the living room.

Plus, we include a regular size electric hot water system with every unit so there’s no fear of your workers running out of hot water when they have a head full of shampoo.

For energy efficiency, we include LED downlights with warm white bulbs to give a nice soft daylight glow.

And for safety, there’s a hard-wired smoke detector in every unit as standard.

Easy clean, easy care.

To make these units as maintenance-free as possible, we include aluminium windows with key locks, fly screens and roller blinds.

Plus we add vinyl plank flooring in all rooms except for the wet areas. This means that the floor only needs a quick sweep and a run-over with a mop to keep it clean.

Why not do your own comparison?

To make it easy for you to compare an Aruva unit to other accommodation units available on the market such as dongas and tiny homes, here’s an easy checklist that you can complete.

This will give you a better idea of what’s available and, most likely, open your eyes to the Aruva difference.

Always remember that the level of accommodation that you provide your workers will help to determine the quality of workers that you’re going to attract. And if they’re happy, they’ll be willing to stay.
